Rialto Knights advance to championship after semifinal victory

On February 20, 2026, the Rialto Knights basketball team won its semifinal game against Rowlands, 52–44, at Rialto High School.
The game brought excitement to students, staff, and families who came out to support the team. With this important win, the Knights have advanced to the championship game, where they will face a strong Salesian team for the title.

The game was competitive from the start. Both teams played with energy and determination, but the Knights stayed focused and maintained control of the game. They worked together on offense by passing the ball and taking smart shots. On defense, they pressured Rowlands and prevented easy baskets. Their strong defense helped hold Rowlands to only 44 points.
The crowd played a big role in supporting the team. Fans cheered loudly after every big play, helping motivate the players on the court. When the final buzzer sounded, the gym filled with applause as the Knights celebrated their hard-earned victory.
Jacob Caraballo shared his thoughts about the team’s performance. When asked what he thinks about Rialto’s basketball team, Carabello said, “I think they are a very great team.” He also shared that he believes they have what it takes to win the championship. “Yes, they have a great lineup,” he said confidently. When asked if he would attend the championship game, Caraballo responded, “Maybe, I’m not sure yet right now.”
Assistant Coach Estrada also shared his thoughts about the upcoming championship. “I feel good. I have a lot of faith in this team,” he said. Coach Estrada explained that staying focused will be important in the next game. “They should stay 100% focused. If they have a bad play, forget about it and move on to the next one,” he advised.
When asked about practices leading up to the championship, Coach Estrada said, “They are going great! They are locked in!” His comments show that the team is working hard and preparing seriously for their final challenge.
With strong teamwork, confidence, and preparation, the Rialto Knights are ready to compete for the championship title. Students and staff are excited to see if the team can finish their season with another big win.
