Remains of Brian Laundrie found in Carlton Reserve

A recent lead in the search for Brian Laundrie has turned grim. Human remains and items belonging to person of interest Brian Laundrie have been discovered by his parents in the Carlton Reserve. The area that the items were found in were recently underwater, but have dried up due to recent weather conditions.

There is now confirmation, as of October 21, that the remains found in the Carlton Reserve belong to Brian Laundrie.

Michael McPherson, the Special Agent in Charge of the Tampa office stated. "I know you have a lot of questions, but we don't have all the answers yet. We're working diligently to get those answers for you."

The attorney for Brian Laundrie and his family, Steven Bertolini stated “Chris and Roberta Laundrie have been informed that the remains found yesterday in the reserve are indeed Brian’s. We have no further comment at this time and we ask that you respect the Laundrie’s privacy at this time.”

The nation was drawn to the case of Gabby Petito’s disappearance in September 2021, when she disappeared, her boyfriend, Brian Laundrie, returned home without her. Her body was found September 19, and her corpse was identified on September 21, 2021.

Authorities descended onto the Carlton Reserve after Brian left home on September 14, leaving without his cellphone or even his wallet.

It has been almost a month now, and the only possible lead in the case to find out what exactly happened to Gabby Petito is now gone.
