Rialto High School NJROTC cadets collected hundreds of personal hygiene items and donated the items to the Time for Change Foundation in San Bernardino.
The items were collected over the course of three weeks by NJROTC. RHS staff and students both donated to support the cause. Staff for the foundation were “extremely thankful” for the donations from RHS.
The day the items were donated, senior Kyle Griffin said, “I felt a sense that I was helping those who are less fortunate and who need help,” while senior Alyssa Cabral shared, “Donating those health items to the women's shelter made me realize that I often take what I have in my home for granted.”
As the holidays approach, NJROTC will be organizing a toy drive to help the children who are housed in the same shelter.
