Abortion must be legal for every woman. In 2022, the Supreme Court decided to end federal abortion rights. As of today, 13 states have enforced abortion bans at all stages of pregnancy. Why are women being forced to continue with pregnancies that weren’t planned or could even kill them?
Adults make mistakes, things happen, and a law should not forbid women from being stuck with a responsibility they weren’t prepared for. A child is a blessing, but once the man isn’t ready to step up, it leaves the woman in a harsh place. No woman should have to go through pregnancy alone, but because of these laws, they are forcing women to go through this. Although that isn’t always the case, some women have problems with their bodies where they can’t have a safe pregnancy.
According to the “National Center for Health Statistics,” it states, “In 2022, 817 women died of maternal causes in the U.S, compared with 1,205 in 2021”. If these were the numbers before abortion was banned, imagine how they will look in the following statistics.
These laws are so unfair to women, and it’s not only for the ones who make mistakes, but even worse for the ones who were taken advantage of. Sexual assault is a real thing! It is so scary, and it is not something that only happens to women, but to teenage girls as well.
If you’re in the wrong place at the wrong time, anything can happen to anyone, even men. It’s sad, but women can be left pregnant. Even worse, they can’t get rid of it because of the law? A woman has to go through a pregnancy that happened through SA. This can lead to depression because they were victims being forced to carry their offender's child.
It is 2025, and guns still have more rights than we women. We should be able to decide what we want to do for our health. So many teens are manipulated in relationships or so blinded by love that they are down to do anything without the knowledge of what can happen.
Teen pregnancies are now so common, but many girls are forced by their parents to stay with the child. Then there are the girls who get kicked out and left with nothing, so what are they supposed to do? Guys don’t understand what we have to go through, and think life is easy for them, and they believe they will be okay with a baby, but when it comes to it, they’re just kids taking care of kids; they don’t know what they’re doing.
This is when the girls are left alone, not only with the responsibility to take care of themselves but of their babies as well, all because they couldn’t have an abortion.
On “Statista,” it is reported, “ In 2023, there were about 15.09 million children living with a single mother in the U.S.”. Many of these moms struggle to make a living for their kids. We have all seen this. Some girls are traveling to different places to get their abortions, or even ones who do abortions that are not safe.
Women need their rights!
