Elide joined the Medieval Times because she likes to read and write in her free time.
Ashley Carrillo is a student athlete who likes to play soccer on her free time; she also likes to write. Writing has always been a part of her life, it helps her express herself in many different ways. Writing to Ashley is also a very beautiful and powerful thing, and that's why she loves doing it.
Juliana Garcia is the Coeditor in Chief who joined the Medieval Times team in 2020. She is a bookworm who also enjoys playing sports like soccer and volleyball, and she likes to swim. She writes about disorders that affect teens all over the world and writes reviews on binge worthy and not so binge worthy tv shows in her new columns, Mental Health Awareness and What to Binge.
Livia Rollie is a columnist who joined the Medieval Times team in 2020. She loves watching movies and crying her eyes out to Phoebe Bridgers. She’s a natural romantic, but a (truly) terrible flirt who would love to see you reading Good For Her, a column about women in mythology, which will be updated bi-weekly on Thursdays.
In her free time Evelyn likes to read, listen to music, and watch movies and t.v. shows. She enjoys watching crime documentaries and knowing more about crimes that happen around the world. Evelyn loves spending time with her friends and family and traveling to new places.
Jackeline Garcia Gonzalez
Jackeline Garcia Gonzalez is a columnist who joined the Medieval Times in 2021. She joined because she wants to pursue her passion in writing. She is a caring person who wants to give other people a voice when they feel they don’t have one. She is also a bookworm who enjoys reviewing and recommending books.
Cynthia Soto became part of the Medieval Times team in 2020. Her column, Legends, Lore, Superstitions, and More, is a collection of stories from different cultures. She enjoys cats and true crime stories.
Ty Williams is a columnist who joined the Medieval Times team in 2020. She is an empathetic, benevolent individual who’s all about helping others and giving advice which she loves to write about in her new column, Tipful Tuesday’s.
Crystal Magana is a journalist who enjoys writing about mental health, sexism, and diversity. She views writing as an instrument and believes that almost nothing is as powerful as one's words. Her goal is to express herself without limitations and she hopes to help others to find their voice as well.
Jesse primarily joined journalism because he was inspired by Lisa Guerrero, an award winning investigative journalist. He likes to investigate topics he writes about, and will do this in his articles. He likes to read poems and he's written a few. He considers himself a writer and enjoys writing, as a writer he loves to read other people’s work as well. He also enjoys reading books. His favorite books are The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath and the Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald. Plus, he’s a Lana Del Rey fan.
Melanie Robles is a columnist who joined the Medieval Times team in 2021. She strives to inform young people on social issues globally and in our community. Her writing is focused on amplifying and validating RHS student voices. In her free time, she enjoys reading, journaling, and playing the piano.
Ximena likes to play guitar and loves expressing herself through music and other forms of art. She also really likes watching documentaries, usually about nature and animals.
